BABCHI SEED EXTRACT (Bakuchiol) • Extracellular matrix rejuvenator • It is a well defined pure natural compound obtained from the edible seeds of Psoralea corylifolia (Bu-gu-zhi – 补骨脂). It improves dermal & dermo-epidermal architecture providing a broad-spectrum 3D structure benefit.

MARINE BAMBOO EXTRACT (Himanthalia elongata extract) • Firming & Toning • It is an enriched fraction of fucosterol and phyco-carotenoids of the Himanthalia algae defense system, to fight against the negative side effects of aging and sun, down-regulating the production of metalloproteinases enzymes and up-regulating the genetic activity of elastin.

DRIFT KELP EXTRACT • Revitalizing & Rejuvenating • Laminaria hyperborea extract rich in an efficient pool of lipidic and antioxidant molecules (including carotenoids, especially fucoxanthin, triterpenoids and pyropheophytin as well as betain lipids) that are important for the algae membrane’s properties (fluidity, flexibility, and selective permeability). The main functions of Drift Kelp are regeneration, revitalizing & rejuvenation: up-regulation of leptin gene expression in aged skin cells that retards and reverses selected aspects of skin aging, boosts fibroblasts proliferation and collagen synthesis, enhances mitochondrial energy as a bioenergetic agent, promotes wound healing and acts as an antimicrobial defenses stimulation (β-defensin 2).

ALPHA-BISABOLOL • Lightening • Alpha-bisabolol is a primary constituent of the Matricaria chamomilla plant. The compound has multiple properties, including anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antibiotic, and gastric protective agent.16 More recently it was discovered that the compound inhibits alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone-induced melanogenesis by suppressing intracellular cyclic adenosine monophosphate levels. Based on the in vitro and in vivo skin studies, alpha-bisabolol 0.5% may be utilized as an adjunctive therapy for the reduction of hyperpigmentation.

ETHYL ASCORBIC ACID • Antioxidant & Global skin optimizer • Stable, water soluble non-irritating, non photo-toxic, derivative of vitaminC. It has the same potential as vitamin c to boost skin collagen synthesis, but is effective in significantly lower concentrations, and can also be used to suppress melanin formation (in skin-whitening solutions). Is a better choice than vitamin c for people with sensitive skin and those wishing to avoid any exfoliating effects due to the acidity of those other formulations. Is also used for UV protection and repair, collagen production, skin lightening and brightening, as an anti-inflammatory and as a very powerful antioxidant. Even though is a stable form of Vitamin C, we include it in the product separately, to ensure the maximum efficacy during the days of usage. Ethyl ascorbic acid posses an anti-radical scavenging effect demonstarted in a ROS Assay after UVA and UVB Irradiations,Inhibition of the 6 cytokine secretion after induced UVB irradiation ensures the control of the inflamatory processes, interferes with the melanin production by inhibiting tyrosinase (-47.5%) and TRP-2 (-72.6%).
