We choose our ingredients based on different criterias in order of importance:
ORIGIN: vegetal or molecular
COUNTRY OF PROVENANCE: the closer the better in order to minimize Carbon Footprint.
ISO 16128: we require this Naturality Index for each raw material in order to ensure its naturality content.

For raw materials we demand CERTIFICATIONS: naturality, vegan, cruelty free, gluten free, gmo, halal, kosher, cosmos, as well as other natural certifications, and we check its EWG rating.

The cosmetic world is known for being one of the industries that practices animal testing the most in order to test the security of products on the human skin

We test for security and efficacy in vivo, and we also perform in-vitro tests in all of our products.
Sepai is a manufacturing and distribution skincare company that produces in its entirety in Europe, where animal testing has been banned in skincare since 2013. Although this is true, some european brands are given permission to do animal testing in order to enter certain markets where this is required. Nevertheless, we choose to set our principles before anything else and avoid registering our products in markets that oblige animal testing
